Review - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 92mm Fluid Dynamic CPU Cooler
We received in Yesturday the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 from MP3SUPERSTORE
Lets start off with the packaging. This thing comes in the most custom off the wall designed case i have ever seen, but i like it, Very innovative and holds everything tight. It has a custom wing type designs allowing you to separate the front half from the back half.. This making it extremely easy to open and no need to go get out the razor blade... So packaging gets a 5 out of 5 from us
Unboxing this item like i said before was extremely easy and user friendly. Inside the box you have of course the CPU COOLER as well as the instruction guide, mounting brackets and hardware for Intel/Amd processor. What i did like about this is they had them in to separate bags one labeled INTEL and one labeled AMD. this made it so much easier then digging through a single bag of hardware to find the right hardware for your board.
Ok Now its time for installation. I have installed this cooler on my Intel Quad Core Q8200 in a Socket 775 and it is pretty straight forward. The install was cake i had the whole thing done in respectively about 15 minutes and that was being extreme careful as i have tons of peripherals in my box. The instruction manual that they give you is great it has black and white pics and is really easy to follow. So they did an extremely good job on this
Ok is this thing going to stand up to it reputation. Well that is why i waited til today to post this because i wanted to put it through hell before i gave any reviews. Well lets just answer the question before i get into the specs...... YES it absolutely does a great job..
On The Q8200 overclocked from 2.33ghz to 3.0ghz i have seen a 10 degree drop in my cpu temp over all. On the stock intel fan with the same overclock my cpu temp would sit idle at about 35 degrees Celsius with the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 however it is sitting at 24/25 degrees Celsius. This is amazing.. Even under full load with this cooler i am not getting any temps over 40 degrees celsius.... Which is extremely great and is all that need to be said..
You can pick this cooler up from MP3SUPERSTORE for less then $30.00 with super fast free shipping
